Brothers and Sisters, We have ratified the 2007-2010 Tentatively Agreed Contract proposal. The vote was 47 yes and 1 no. The next step is final approval from the City Council on Nov 5. Once the Council approves the proposal and Union/Management sign the official copies the new contract will become effective. The push is to have retro pay back to July 1, 2007 reflected on the Nov. 30 paycheck. The E-Board will be keeping a watchful eye on the accuracy of retro pay; our plan is to audit random member’s paychecks to ensure this. If you see problems, please contact me for a quick resolution. I would like to thank the Negotiation team for your hard work, professionalism and dedication during this long process.
